Facility: Aberdeen Medical Center
Location: Aberdeen, SD
Shift: 8 Hours - Day Shifts
Job Schedule: PRN

Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.
Intern will be responsible to assist with Sanford Health's maintenance of grounds along with assistance with environmental sustainability initiatives. Will work primarily with Nursing Director and Manager of Facilities to assist the Go Green Committee with the implementation of Sanford Aberdeen's environmental sustainability plan. Will work with hospital and city leaders to evaluate, develop and implement data driven initiatives. Facility/Maintenance duties will include lawn care and indoor/outdoor property maintenance.
Responsibilities include: Lawn care
Indoor and outdoor property maintenance
Assistance with implementing Go Green Committee initiatives
Will meet with hospital and clinic leaders
Help to develop recycling program for Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center and Clinic
Approximately 30 hours per week will be dedicated to Facility/Maintenance duties with approximately 10 hours per week dedicated to Go Green Committee. This may change weekly based off need.
Will work 8 hour shifts, 64 hours per pay period.
Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
