Job Summary

Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.

Qualifications

Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university.

Utilizing interface engine software, the Interface Engineer at Sanford Health is responsible for supporting the exchange of data between Sanford and various external systems or facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Build, implement, configure, and support real time and file based interface processes.

• Unit and integrated testing of interfaces.

• Promote new or updated interfaces from the test environment into the production environment.

• Develop and maintains the documentation for each interface.

• Review all applicable logs to identify data format or programming errors on the interface engine.

• Work with the team to test and implement interface engine patches or upgrades.

• Work with the team to test interfaces against patches or upgrades.

• Uses project management skills to ensure assigned projects are completed on time with end user expectations either met or exceeded, and a quality product/service delivered.

• Communicates project status to IT management.

• Monitor tickets received from the Sanford centralized Help Desk

• Troubleshooting and problem solving.

• Takes initiative for identifying process improvements and application enhancements.

• Maintains professional growth and development to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Technologies that may be used include HL7, Web Services, FHIR, SOAP, RESTful API's, .json formats, XML, and programming or scripting languages.
